Dataverse connector for Excel


Recently, Microsoft announced dataverse connector for excel. With this new connector, customers and partners can create report in excel based on Dataverse data. Lets see, how we can use this dataverse connector in excel.

Step 1: Open your excel and click on Data.

You can see new menu is available for Power Platform. When you click on this then you can three different options.

Step 2 : Click on Dataverse and login with your organization account.

You will see dataverse environment connected with your account.

Select the dataverse environment and add your entities for reporting.

Note : You cannot access virtual entities with the dataverse connector.

I created a sample HR dashboard with this new dataverse connector.
