Website refused to connect in Dynamics 365 HR

In this article, we will see how to solve the issue when adding a website as a tab page in Dynamics 365 HR. There is a feature called Full page apps which is released a couple of months ago to embed third-party apps such as websites, apps. If you would like to get detailed information then visit my post here.

First, we have to add a website under Employee self-service and This can be done via right-click + personalize and click on add an app

Select the area where you want to add and click on the website

Here, you can provide the name of your website and web address(https://www.google.com/)

A new tab is added “Google” in the ESS.

Click on the Google tab and you will see an error.

The solution is very simple and we have to install an extension called “Ignore X-Frame headers” in google chrome or edge browser.

Note : If you don’t see this extension in Edge browser then you can use it from the chrome browser and add to your edge browser.

I have already added the extension to my browser and it is enabled now

Now, go back to Dynamics 365 HR and refresh your browser. In this case, you can also restart the browser if you don’t see an extension enabled.

Go to Dynamics 365 HR > ESS and click on google. You can see your website is visible here without any error

In this way, We solved the issue of adding a website as a tab page in Dynamics 365 HR by enabling an extension “Ignore X-Frame headers” in the browser. If you like this article, feel free to share it with others who might find it helpful! If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me.
