  3. Create New Course templates: Click on the option to create a new course template. Enter essential details such as template, description, group, Allow self-registration, skills, Course description, target audience, course objectives, course subjects and financial dimensions.

Creating a Course in Dynamics 365 Human Resources

  1. Access Dynamics 365 Human Resources: Log in to your Dynamics 365 Human Resources environment with appropriate permissions.
  2. Navigate to Learning: Go to the Learning module within Dynamics 365 Human Resources, where you can manage all training-related activities.
  3. Create New Course: Click on the option to create a new course. Select the course templates created in above section and enter essential details such as Start date and time, end date and time, location, date, and time.
  4. Open Course: Click on button Open course to update the status course status to Open.
  5. Click OK to open the course.

Adding Participants to a Course

  1. Select Course: Locate the course you created or wish to add participants to within the Learning module.
  2. Enroll Participants: Within the course details, Select the tab to enrol participants. You can click on Add participants and select the employee from the list and click on Assign participants.
  3. Confirm Participants: Once the participants added successfully, click on confirm participants.

Automating Email Notifications and Outlook Events with Power Platform

Now that the course is created and participants are added in Dynamics 365 Human Resources, it’s time to automate email notifications and Outlook event creation using Power Platform. Here’s how it can be done:

  1. Power Automate Flow: Create a Power Automate flow triggered by the creation of a new course or the addition of participants to an existing course in Dynamics 365 Human Resources.
  2. Retrieve Course and Participant Information: Fetch course details and participant information from Dynamics 365 Human Resources using connectors provided by Power Automate.
